Zanta “Lois” Herron
Augusta, GA – Zanta “Lois” Herron, 87, wife of the late Richard Edward Herron, entered into rest Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Amara Health Care.Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 3:00 PM from Westview Cemetery with Reverend Mark Joyner officiating.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the graveside.
Mrs. Herron, daughter of the late Susie Nichols Carlton and Stephen Carlton, was a homemaker and a member of Broad Street Baptist Church. She was nominated as the oldest member of the Frog Hollow Reunion. Her passion was volunteering at the Berry Center and was known as Grandma to all the kids.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Herron, her brother-in-law, Eddie Hardage; and her siblings, Steve Jr, Spence, and Linda Sue.
She is survived by her children, Richard Herron (Debra), Kathy Herron, Patricia Herron, Eddie Herron (Beverly), and Linda Epps (Jimmy); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers, Barney Carlton (Martha), James Carlton (Carol), and Clifford Carlton (Sandy); and her sister, Shirley Hardage.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 16, 2021, from 3:00 until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
In accordance with CDC guidelines attendees are asked to wear masks and socially distance.
