SSGT Joe Wayne Woolsey, US Army (Ret)
Hephzibah, GA – Joe Wayne Woolsey, 89, husband of the late Marvena Alley Woolsey, entered into rest Monday, February 20, 2023, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11:00 o’clock from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors, with Tim Pendrey officiating.
Entombment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mr. Woolsey, son of the late Wayne and Della Hurt Woolsey, was born in Sidney, Texas. He served and retired Staff Sergeant with the US Army. He was a Scottish Rite’s member with Richmond Lodge #412.
He is survived by his children, Randy Woolsey, Billy Thomas (Kimberly), Pam Wisdom (Glenn); his three grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, his brothers, Winston Woolsey and Ernest Woolsey; his sister, Darlene Woolsey.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 o’clock until the hour of service.
