Sherrel Deloris Martin
Hephzibah, GA – Sherrel Deloris Martin, 73, entered into rest on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Doctor’s Hospital.
A memorial service will be held from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. with the Reverend Barry Clanton officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Born in Augusta on August 5, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Lamar Martin, Sr. and Jane Price, and had made the Augusta area her home most of her life. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker, a loving mother, sister and grandmother who loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and growing flowers. She was a member of Christway Christian Church.
Along with her parents Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her infant son, Gary Lee Bennett, Jr.; and her daughter, Dicie Jane Fountain.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her daughter, Neisha Cundey (Rick); her son, John Wayne Bennett (Karen); her siblings, Henry Allen Martin, Vincent Lamar Martin, Jr. (Linda), Jill Marie Richardson, Donna J. Kay (Billy) and Bobbie Duppstadt (Jimmy); as well as her seven grandchildren, Zach, Hannah, Ciara, Jase, Quest, Brandon and Amanda; her three grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
