Ruth Lee Moates Lovett

Augusta, GA – Ruth Lee Moates Lovett, 83, beloved wife of 56 years to the late Thomas Kenneth Lovett, entered into rest Sunday, October 23, 2022, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 11:00 o’clock at Hillcrest Memorial Park, with Chaplain CPT Ken Lovett officiating.

Mrs. Lovett, daughter of the late Eva Pearl Thigpen Moates, and Joseph Edison Moates, was born in Warren County, GA.  She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family greatly. She loved her cats, flower arranging, and cake decorating.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Paula Lovett; her siblings, J. W. Moates, Susie Mae Ganus, Mary Ellen Mathis, and Betty Ann Moates.

She is survived by her children, Jerry W. Lovett (Mary Kay), Thomas M. Lovett; her grandchildren, Karen Lipscomb (Greg), Kenneth Lovett (Sarah), and Tommy Lovett; her numerous great-grandchildren, her niece, Margie Esqueda (Javier) and many other nieces and nephews.
