Mr. Jessie M. Harrison
Lincolnton, GA – Mr. Jessie M. Harrison, 84, beloved husband of 61 years to Mrs. Susan Manning Harrison, entered into rest on February 27, 2023, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 2 o’clock in the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Home with Pastor Trip Goodwin and Rev. Wayne Ackerman officiating. Interment will be in Langley Cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday evening, from 5 until 7.
Born in Augusta, GA, on December 10, 1938, he was the son of the late Evelyn Harrison McGowan, and made Lincolnton his home for the past 35 years. Mr. Harrison retired from Quebecor World and was a member of Lincolnton Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of the Grand Lodge of Georgia F&AM, the Alee Shrine of Savannah, the Richmond Masonic Lodge #412, the Lincolnton Masonic Lodge #354 and the Go Kart Unit. Mr. Harrison enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and riding his tractor. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin Steinmeyer, Danny Steinmeyer and Jack Moody.
Pallbearers will be Jason Steinmeyer, Danny Steinmeyer, Travis Nephew, Clinton Nephew, Donni Rickerson and Dustin Clark.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Harrison is survived by two sons, Jesse Lynn Harrison (Teresa Clark) and William Thomas Harrison; twin daughters, Bonnie Sue Sherman (Kelly) and Connie Rose Coleman; four grandsons, Clinton Nephew (Megan), Travis Nephew (Cassie), Matthew Harrison and Will Harrison; one great-grandson and two great-granddaughters; four brothers, Art Steinmeyer, Steve Moody, Wayne Moody and Kenneth Moody; two sisters, Nancy Grissom and Diane Tindall; a number of nieces and nephews.
