Marin Rosier Stewart

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11:00am at Burns Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastors John Donaldson and Wayne Usry officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart, daughter of the late Gladys Toole Rosier and Sylvester L. Rosier, was born in Augusta and a charter member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church. Her strong faith and love of God led to a lifetime of dedicated church attendance and service there. She was blessed with many lifelong, close friendships as a devoted member of the LaTane Kirkley Circle.
Mrs. Stewart was known for her kind and generous spirit and fun, loving personality. She was a 1958 gradate of Hephzibah High School where she was Captain of the Cheerleading Squad and President of her Senior Class, voted the Most Friendliest and Most Dependable. It was in High School she met the love of her life Gene. They married in 1959 and built a beautiful life together. Following the birth of her children, Marin worked for many years and retired as a District Supervisor for the Avon Company. She and Gene enjoyed many years of adventurous travel after retirement.
Marin was joyfully funny and always telling jokes. She was a wonderful example of a Christian, Southern Lady. She was a beautiful hostess and would graciously open her home to any visitor. She enjoyed playing cards and games, instilling this passion and her skills in her children and grandchildren through many hours of family game time. Marin loved to be outdoors and enjoyed gardening, birdwatching and the lake.
Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her daughters Patricia Stewart Flaherty and Ronda Stewart Lundquist, and her siblings Christine Murphy, T.C. Rosier, Millie Harris, and Lynda Hand.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Johnny Stewart (Patti), her grandchildren Marie Stewart (Brett), Brittany Telfer (Matt), Stewart Lundquist, Christy Flaherty, Haley Flaherty, Adam Stewart and Andrew Stewart, her great grandchildren Alicia, Haley, Abigail, Ansley, and Annora, her siblings Delois Usry, Binkie James and Sylvester Rosier, Jr. and her siblings-in-law Mary Carswell, Edward Stewart (Jeanne), Carol Watkins, Faye Schlein, and Judy Winge (Richard) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the LaTane Kirkley Circle.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the hour of the service at the church. The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.

Marian was such a sweet lady. She always sent a greeting card for every occasion and we looked forward to receiving them. My prayers for the whole family.
