Kathy Usry Smith
Augusta, GA – Kathy Usry Smith, 65, wife of Donald Ricky Smith, entered into rest Sunday, December 5, 2021, at her Residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend John Kilpatrick officiating.
Interment to follow at Jackson City Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith, daughter of the late Martha Cason Usry and Lonnie Usry, she was born in Louisville, GA. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She retired from The State of Georgia in the Personnel office.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kristina R. Thurmond (Bruce), Tori L. Pou (Sammy), Dustin W. Heitz (Chrissy), Donald Paul Smith (Tara) Dalton R. Smith (Kelsey); her grandchildren, Brooke Thurmond, Ansley Thurmond, Isabell Pou, Morgan Heitz, Chloe Yant, Kendall
Heitz, Isabel Smith, Donald Paul Smith, Jr., Daylin Heitz, Addison Pou, Kalynn Pou, Brennan Pou, Ella Heitz, Theo Smith; her sisters, Linda Usry Brown (Albert), Carol Usry Storey (Jerry); her brothers, Terry Usry, Randy Usry (Charlotte); numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Heitz, Donald Paul Smith, Dalton Smith, Sammy Pou, Bruce Thurmond, and Ryan Storey.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children Hospital or Children’s Hospital of Georgia.
