John David Langston
Augusta, GA – John David Langston, 85, beloved husband of 60 years to Mrs. Lula Mae Woodward Langston, entered into rest on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Augusta University Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors, on Friday, April 30, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor John L. Arthur, Jr. officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Born in Augusta on August 17, 1935, Mr. Langston was the son of the late Clifford Troupe and Ida Mae Horne Langston, and had made the Augusta area his home all of his life. He had retired as a Delivery Driver from Fleet Pride and had worked for numerous auto parts supply houses throughout his career. His passion was to watch NASCAR, dirt track racing and wrestling and he enjoyed fishing and piddling around his house working with his hands. He was a wonderful husband, loving father and grandfather and a great uncle. Mr. Langston was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife Mr. Langston is survived by his sons, Timothy Dale Langston (Dianna), and James David Langston; his daughter, Teresa Ann Langston and her fiancee’, Gerald Phillips; six grandchildren; as well as ten great grandchildren.
