Hazel Yelverton
Augusta, GA – Mrs. Hazel Deal Yelverton, 88, wife of the late Julian Yelverton entered into rest Friday, January 22, 2021, at her residence.
Private family funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Pat Latta officiating. The graveside committal service is open to the public at 1:30 PM in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
She was born in Statesboro, GA to the late John and Millie Cannon Deal. She was a retired Health Service Tech from Gracewood State School and Hospital, a member of Fleming Baptist Church and the Encouragers Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her son, Arthur Yelverton and granddaughter, Kimberly Yelverton.
Survivors include her children Dennis Yelverton and his fiancée LeAnn Wood, of Dacula, GA, John Yelverton and his wife, Sandy, of Oakwood, GA, and Terrell Yelverton and his wife, Stephanie, of Hephzibah; Marcia Johnson of Augusta, Patricia Jensen, and her husband, Chris, of Hephzibah, and Holly Lowe, of Augusta; sisters, Blondean Wells of Garden City, GA, Wyndolyn Hall and her husband Bill of Statesboro, GA, Juanita Flake of Statesboro, GA and Martha Vinson of Loganville, GA; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
