Dotty Grace Bowling
Hephzibah, GA – Dotty Grace Bowling, age 94, went to her heavenly home on March 15, 2023, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 20, 2023, at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Rick Nevard officiating.
Interment will be private.
She was born on November 29, 1928, in Davisboro, Georgia, to Martin and Rosa Baggett. She retired from Murray Biscuit Company after 35 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith, and she loved God. She enjoyed gardening, thrift shore shopping, tending to her beloved animals, and playing Bingo. Most importantly, she was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Marcus and Rosa Mae Baggett; her brother, Charlie Lee Baggett; her sisters, May “Madie” Alma Richards, Rosa Lavada Baggett, and Sarah Vann Smith; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Imler.
She is survived by her children, Rosemary Imler, Rebecca Skinner (Joseph), Nathan Smith (Carol), and Linda Cloer (Brown); her grandchildren, Stephanie Altman (Stephen), Zachary Skinner (Stefanie), Kelly Terzia (Richard), Cole Smith (Ryan), Caleb Smith (Crystal), and Lauren Bowling; her great grandchildren, Susie Terzia, Lyman Terzia, JoAnna Smith, Christian Skinner, and Savannah Parler; her nieces, Rosa Pillitary and Vera Faye Smith; and her nephews, Van Smith (Mimi) and Charlie Ralph Ivey.
The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
The family extends their deepest appreciation to the Keysville Nursing Home staff and Regency Hospice staff for their compassionate care of our mother.
