Mr. Ransom, son of the late Emma Fielder Ransom and James Ben Ransom, was born in Augusta and was self employed as a mechanic.
He is survived by his sons, Brian Ransom and Dalton Ransom; his sisters, Janice Diamond, and Melanie Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
